Good Current / Electrical

Everyday fixes. Next-chapter plans.

Start with the job you have in mind. These guides explain what belongs in the first conversation, and what needs a closer look.

01

Lighting & fans

Pendant lights, practical task lighting and ceiling-fan enquiries. Tell us how you want the room to feel and what is there now.

Try this enquiry

What we can discuss

  • Replacing existing light fittings
  • Planning additional lighting points
  • Ceiling-fan installation enquiries

Useful to have ready

Have the fitting model and room location ready, if known. Tell us whether this is a replacement or a new location; no need to inspect wiring.

What affects the quote

Ceiling access, mounting, fitting compatibility and any new wiring all affect scope. Supplied products still need a suitability check.

What the site review needs to resolve

Replacement or new location; product compatibility; switching and dimming; mounting and ceiling access. Tell us about rooms that must stay usable during the work.

What a useful handover covers

A demonstration of the agreed lighting or fan controls, model information and any product-care instructions. Patchwork and painting should be explicitly included or excluded.

Specialist lighting design, plaster repairs and painting are separate unless included in a written quote.

02

Power & repairs

Extra power points, a fitting that has stopped working or a recurring electrical issue. Describe what you have noticed so the request can be reviewed.

Try this enquiry

What we can discuss

  • Additional power-point enquiries
  • Non-urgent fault assessment
  • Repair or replacement enquiries

Useful to have ready

Note which room is affected and when you first noticed the issue. You do not need to test, open or remove anything for this enquiry.

What affects the quote

The source of a fault, access and the condition of the existing installation need to be assessed before repair options can be confirmed.

What the site review needs to resolve

The symptoms and when they occur, the affected fixtures and the condition of the existing installation. Investigation may be a separate agreed step before repair pricing.

What a useful handover covers

An explanation of what was found, what was repaired and any issue that still needs attention. Extra outlets should be identified by location in the agreed scope.

Remote diagnosis and emergency response are not included in this concept service.

03

Switchboard enquiries

Planning a renovation, adding electrical loads or wondering about your existing switchboard? Start with an assessment enquiry.

Try this enquiry

What we can discuss

  • Existing switchboard assessment enquiries
  • Renovation capacity discussions
  • Upgrade scope and access planning

Useful to have ready

Tell us about planned appliances or renovations. Use only information you already have; no opening covers or touching equipment.

What affects the quote

Supply arrangements, existing equipment, access and the proposed load can change the work and which providers need to be involved.

What the site review needs to resolve

Existing equipment, proposed loads, supply arrangements and access. Any planned power interruption and specialist or network coordination need to be explained first.

What a useful handover covers

A clear record of the agreed changes, circuit identification and relevant documents. Ask which future additions were considered and which remain outside the scope.

An upgrade, compliance status or supply change cannot be confirmed from a website form. Distributor work is separately scoped where required.

04

EV charging

Explore what a home charging installation might involve before choosing equipment or promising a date.

Try this enquiry

What we can discuss

  • Home charging feasibility enquiries
  • Charger location and access discussions
  • Existing capacity and equipment review

Useful to have ready

Have the vehicle or charger model ready if selected, and describe where you park. For apartments, note whether strata approval is available.

What affects the quote

Supply capacity, cable route, parking location, product compatibility and approvals can affect feasibility and price.

What the site review needs to resolve

Private or shared parking, charger requirements, supply capacity, cable route and approvals. A charger purchase should not be treated as confirmation that installation is straightforward.

What a useful handover covers

The agreed charger setup, a demonstration and instructions for its everyday operation. Clarify product support, connectivity requirements and ongoing fees, if any.

No charger suitability, charging speed, supply capacity or installation date is guaranteed without assessment.
